Samsung Katalyst T739 Wi-Fi Phone

T-Mobile today announced the availability of the Samsung Katalyst, a stylish slider for the growing line-up of phones that support T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service.

With built-in support for T-Mobile HotSpot @Home, the Samsung Katalyst provides customers with wireless coverage when placing calls over a home Wi-Fi network and at nearly 8,500 T-Mobile HotSpot locations nationwide. When users leave home or a T-Mobile HotSpot, their calls are passed onto T-Mobile's wireless network, and vice versa. With the purchase of a HotSpot @Home add-on plan, customers can have unlimited, nationwide calling over Wi-Fi.

The Katalyst features a slider design with a metallic silver finish and is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth wireless technology and a 1.3-megapixel camera. The Katalyst also features advanced messaging capabilities including instant messaging, which enables instant chat and supports AOL, ICQ, Yahoo! and Windows Live Messenger. Motorola Z6c World Slider Released

Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of the Motorola Z6c World Edition, an eye-catching dual-mode GSM / CDMA slider. The slim Z6c adds global connectivity, comes with advanced mobile phone technology and multimedia features.

The Z6c features fast multimedia capabilities within an espresso casing with a high-gloss front and soft-touch back. For video and music, the Z6c can access VCAST Video for news, sports and entertainment video clips; and VCAST Music, which offers access to more than 2.4 million songs that can be purchased and downloaded over-the-air, directly from the phone. In addition, to fully-enhance the music experience, the Z6c supports stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and can be paired with a compatible Bluetooth enabled headset. The Z6c also features a 2.0-megapixel camera, a 2-inch QVGA display, and supports up to 4 GB of optional removable memory.

LG Voyager and Venus Available

The Venus and Voyager offer the latest features in mobile phones, including a 2.0-megapixel camera, VZ Navigator capability, a microSD memory slot that can support up to 8 GB of additional memory, and dual screen displays.

The Voyager features a large external touch-screen while the Venus offers dual external screens, with the bottom screen incorporating touch technology. Sony Ericsson K660i Offers Landscape Web Browsing

Sony Ericsson today announced the launch of the K660i, an HSDPA mobile broadband enabled phone with features designed to make Web browsing simple and convenient such as illuminated shortcut keys that only become active when surfing the Net and desktop tickers that provide regular updates from favorite websites.

Pan-and-zoom is just one of the Web shortcut keys that sit under the thumb when viewing Web pages in landscape mode. The K660i also sports a Bookmark function, a single click button that takes users back to their Home Page and an 'Enter Address' shortcut; all intended to guide them through the Webs faster.

The K660i is engineered to ensure that readers not kept waiting for the news or content. HSDPA technology lets them download it all at speeds that are up to four times faster than regular 3G.

Enter the current location and destination and receive point-to-point directions. Thanks to GoogleMaps for Mobile, K660i users can find their way instantly with interactive maps that let them zoom in or out, or pan in any direction to orient themselves.

The K660i squeezes a 2.0-megapixel camera into its compact frame. And it takes just a few clicks to upload picture to a blogsite and share it with friends and family.

Sony Ericsson W380a with 'Gesture Control' Unveiled

Sony Ericsson today unveiled the W380a Walkman phone, allowing users to control the music to without needing to open the phone. Skip forward or backwards between tracks or pause the music effortlessly. One-touch buttons on the top of the phone light up when the Walkman player is switched on and a hidden display comes to life, providing track information at a glance.

The W380a also offers TrackID to tag a clip from the phone's radio (or any external source) and find out instantly who sings it, what it's called and which album it's from. Once the song has been identified, users can get it onto their phone in just a few clicks via PlayNow. Or browse through the latest full-length music tracks, mobile games, MP3 ringtones and wallpapers.

When not in use, the W380a Walkman phone looks discreet and laid-back from the outside. But as soon as a call is received or music is played, it comes alive. Choose different light effects for different callers, and see the music 'dance' when the phone's lights match the beat of a favorite song.

Mute the phone with a wave of a hand. Or snooze the alarm if lying in bed. The W380a's Gesture Control feature allows true 'handsfree' handling of calls.
