Sony Ericsson today announced the K770i Cyber-shot phone, an all in-one digital camera, photo album and phone.
At just 14.5 mm slim and finished in a Truffle Brown color, the K770i can take photos comparable to a standalone digital camera. By sliding open the lens cover, users are ready to snap photos. Once in camera mode the 1.9-inch screen becomes the viewfinder, and the Cyber-shot based menu becomes visible displaying eight lit icons across the keypad. These serve as 1-click shortcuts to each of the camera's key functions, such as picture size and photo light. Also able to capture video, the camera comes with a powerful photo light for indoor photo-taking and filming. For spontaneous snapshots with poor light conditions, a Photo fix option offers PC-free photo editing on the phone.
A slide show feature lets users show photos to people who are around, while options to post pictures to a 'blogsite' or online gallery are also included.
Consumers can transfer photos swiftly from the K770i Cyber-shot phone to a PC or laptop by using the USB cable provided in-box. Alternatively, if they prefer to print the pictures, the 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus delivers picture quality that is good enough to print photos out at upto A4 size (297 mm x 210 mm). Users can even connect the K770i direct to a printer using PictBridge for PC-free printing.
Supporting Memory Stick Micro (M2), the K770i comes with a 256 MB memory card that lets consumers store up to 200 photos of the best quality. Peruse the photo album whilst listening to favorite music tracks on the in-built media player. Or tune in to the FM radio with RDS that seeks out clear reception on-the-move.
Users who invest in a Stereo Bluetooth Headset will be able to stream music wirelessly from the phone and enjoy songs handsfree. The Stereo Bluetooth Headset HBH-DS200 can be auto-paired with the K770i and offers up to 6 hours of talktime or music listening time.
The K770i is a GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 phone that will be available in Truffle Brown in selected markets from autumn 2007.
